Founder, Ventriq Nasal Strips
About Kieran
I started Ventriq because I had no other choice. I was told by an ENT specialist that I had a deviated septum and needed surgery. A septoplasty. The problem was, I was still playing rugby at the time and could not risk the recovery. A knock to the face during a match could undo everything.
So I held off. But holding off came at a cost. I was struggling to sleep: sniffling, mouth breathing, waking up feeling like I had never rested at all. Getting enough oxygen through my nose felt like a constant battle, and it was affecting my training and my life.
I started experimenting with nasal strips to see if they could give me some relief while I waited to feel ready for surgery. They worked. Not perfectly, but enough. Enough to sleep, enough to breathe, enough to keep playing the sport I love.
That experience led me to develop Ventriq Nasal Strips. I wanted something better than what was out there: strips that actually stay on, that open the nasal passage properly, and that are designed for people with real structural breathing problems, not just occasional snifflers.
Ventriq has given me enough relief that I am starting to wonder whether surgery is even something I still need. I write about breathing, sleep, and nasal health from the perspective of someone who lives with a deviated septum every day. Not as a distant expert, but as a founder who built a solution for himself first.
